DIY Long Reach Clamp

Every Workshop NEEDS This Tool

There is a tool that everyone needs in their workshop.  At some point, you will absolutely need to clamp something where a regular clamp can’t reach. You can buy specialty clamps that have a deeper throat.  But they are expensive and may not have the reach necessary for your project.  There is an easy way to fix this – make a deep-0reach clamp using some wood scraps.

The video above shows you exactly how to build your own DIY clamp. The clamp is easy to make.  It only takes four board – two arms and two sides.  The bottom arm is glued between the side boards.  The top arm is removable.  It is held in place with a bolt.  When you need to clamp thicker material, the bolt can be removed and the arm can be moved up.
