Woodworking Toolbox

What’s a woodworker without a woodworking toolbox?  It seems like making a toolbox is a woodworking rite of passage. I decided to give it shot and make my own version of a tool box.  I wanted it to have a classic look.  No fancy bells and whistles.  This toolbox simply needs to serve the purpose of letting me move tools from one place to another.

I used a classic profile with swooping ends.  The handle has a nice, profiled shape that is mortise and tenoned into the toolbox ends.  Everything was made using 3/4” thick material so it’s a hefty toolbox for sure!  The toolbox’s final dimensions are 11” High x 16” Long x 9” Wide.  I applied a simple wax finish inside and out.  It’s an easy woodworking finish and lets me freshen it up years down the road. Now it’s time to beat the crap out of it and get to work!
