Make a Candy Machine

I have always wanted to make a candy dispenser.  I couldn’t find a design for a wooden machine that I liked so I designed my own!  Using Fusion 360, I was able to come up with a modern looking candy dispenser that I think looks as cool as it is functional.

My dispenser is about 13.5”T x 6”W x 6”D.  It holds A LOT of candy.  I used rabbet joints for the carcass.  Originally, I planned to add aluminum dowels to the sides to strengthen the joints, but there are several wood pieces glued to the insides faces of the container, making the whole machine rock solid.

For the finish I went with Tried and True.  It’s a food safe finish so there’s no issues with candy touching it.
