Santa Joker Art

I made this scroll saw art with no paint, dye, or stain.  It’s all natural wood colors! I drew a picture of the Joker wearing a Santa hat and then turned it into wooden artwork using the scroll saw.  The Joker is the most iconic villain in DC Comics and there’s something fun about seeing him wearing a Santa hat.  I took a lot of different types of wood to make this scroll saw picture.  I made sure to use wood that had natural colors that mimic the colors in the art.  I used holly for Joker’s body, purple heart for his suit, osage for his shirt, lignum vitae for his bowtie, hair, and eyes, and maple and bloodwood for the Santa hat.  The background is walnut and the dark areas (negative space) is wenge.

I made the custom frame for the scroll saw art in a previous video.  Check it out here: Warped Picture Frame
