Waterfall TV Stand
This video shows you exactly how I made a walnut TV stand to sit on top of a credenza. The TV stand has miter joints that allow the wood grain to flow from the top down the sides, giving it a waterfall effect. If you want to know how to make those cool waterfall miter joints that you often see, then check this video out.
I was asked to make this TV stand for a customer. The customer had a specific vision for how the TV stand should look in regards to the dimensions. But I thought the idea of miters with a waterfall effect would be really nice and luckily the customer agreed! In this project you will see the following:
Choosing materials to make the TV stand
Milling lumber
Cutting miter joints on the table saw
Reinforcing miter joints so that they are strong
Making a floating, solid wood panel
Applying a wipe on poly
