Transforming Workshop Hardware Storage

Every workshop has some combination of screws, nails, and other random hardware. To keep things organized, I made some modular storage cabinets that lock together or break apart. They are super flexible and work well for someone like me, who is constantly moving things around in the workshop. I designed this project when I was trying to organize my hardware. Every time I buy screws, bolts, or nails, they seem to come in large boxes that take up space. They don’t always stack easily and I was frustrated with constantly moving them around.

I found some plastic storage bins that I really like! They stack together, have locking lids so they won’t accidently open, and they hold a typical 1lb box of screws!

There are a ton of ways to customize this project, and frankly, I put too much thought into it. There are so many options that I delayed making this video because I wasn’t sure which ones to show. T track would be awesome. So would some classic sliding dovetails. Ultimately, I went with the dartboard mounting brackets. There’s just something about them that I totally dig.
