This pedestal table is part of my new Baxter furniture collection.  It has a classic style that can be an heirloom piece of furniture in a home for generations. The table is made from solid walnut.  The curved legs flow out of the center peg, and up to the top. I plan to come out with a coordinating coffee table version for the collection.

There aren’t a lot of components, but don’t let that fool you. There is a lot of woodworking packed into this project. The legs require routing and sculpting. There are multiple circular pieces to cut and align, and some deep mortises are necessary for the legs.

This video is a tutorial on how I built this table.  If you would like to build this table yourself, I have plans available on my website: Pedestal Table Plans. Included in the plans are step by step instructions and printable templates for the legs and center peg (including the mortises).

I also sell this style table on my website for those who want one built for their home: Baxter Pedestal Table.
